Bridal Photography

Wedding photography is one of the main financial obstacles of most weddings. You've probably looked around the internet and found that not many photographers advertise their prices openly. When you call them, their basic packages cost thousands, right?

At the same time, you don't want to skimp and risk getting sub-standard results. Our packages are designed to give you flexibility, great value for money and excellent quality.

Packages

Priced with budget in mind but with great flexibility and a range of options, the packages we offer make it easy to select what you want . Our photography team is led by Steve, with 17 years' professional photography experience, and John, our digital production and processing expert.

Special effects, extra prints, gift options, photo montage slideshows, coffee table albums and other extras are available - please mention anything you have in mind and we'll arrange it for you.

With the exception of our DIY package, every single shot in each of these packages is optimised. This means, where needed:

  • balanced for contrast and colour
  • cropped
  • straightened
  • sharpened
  • colour tone adjusted
  • blemishes removed

Except the DIY package, you also get every shot in several galleries: full colour, black & white, sepia, warm tones and a classic half-saturated effect. Our printing rates, listed at the bottom of this page, are the best in Brisbane for professional photography.

It is best to book early to avoid disappointment - our packages are in high demand and we only have so many photographers.

DIY Wedding Photo Package

This package is suitable if you are keen to do your own photo editing but want a professional to take the shots. It is simply a fee of $200 per hour of photographer's time. You then receive all the files, untouched, on disc for your own editing and printing.

Bookings must be made for a minimum of two hours.

Budget Digital Wedding Photo Package - $900

You want great photos, but you're on a budget? Or you have friends with their own equipment and you want some professional shots just in case? Our Budget photo package is the answer.

The photographer will attend you for up to three hours at the ceremony venue. You get full coverage of the bride's arrival, the ceremony, signing the register, leaving the ceremony, posing with friends and relatives after the ceremony, bridal party posing. The photographer will also take shots of your guests before and during the ceremony, and accompany you to the reception site for a mock cake-cutting shot.

Standard Digital Wedding Photo Package - $1250

This is the package most likely to suit most couples. This includes five hours with the photographer - ample time to get some pre-ceremony shots, full coverage of the ceremony, signing the register, poses with guests and leaving the ceremony. The photographer will then accompany you to bridal party photo locations of your choice, and to the reception as well for your arrival and a mock cake cutting and bridal waltz.

You can normally expect 600-700 shots with this package, depending on travel and other factors. These will all be optimised, as described above. The package includes two large prints and one extra large print, each with your choice of retouching or special effects, with further prints and other options available at our great prices (please see the bottom of the page for prices).

Full Digital Wedding Photo Package - $2300

For just a little extra, the Full Package takes your wedding photos to the next level. You get more larger prints and you spend 8 hours with your photographer. That's time enough to capture the whole day: to visit the groom and groomsmen getting ready, go to the bride to cover her final preparations, head to the ceremony to photograph guests and the bride's arrival, cover the ceremony and post ceremony shots, reception arrival, dinner and speeches.

Usually, Full packages result in over 900 shots each - the exact number will vary but you can expect at least 750 shots. All these are optimised as described above. This package includes four large prints and two extra large prints, all of which have effects applied at your option, including two fully retouched, plus 80 5"x7" prints and 175 6"x4" prints in a slip-pocket album.

The value of this package separately priced (printing, retouching, optimisation, photographer's time, album & fitting) is over $4,300. Similar packages from competitors start from around $5000 and range anywhere up to $10,000!

Deluxe Wedding Photo Package - $3950

If you want the best photo package available to really showcase your wedding, go for the Deluxe package. You get the most coverage of any photo package, with a huge 12 hours. You will have the services of two photographers. One will attend you from three hours before the ceremony to take shots while you and your bridesmaids get ready and to cover the journey to the ceremony.

You can expect 1000-1200 or more shots. Prints included are 6 extra large prints, 4 large prints, 100 5"x7" prints and 200 6"x4" prints in a slip-pocket album. You also get a 40-page magazine-style album. Of course, you also get all your shots optimised as above on DVD.

Priced separately, this package is worth in excess of $6,700. If you're looking for a truly comprehensive photography service, at this price you can see why you must book early to avoid disappointment.

Special Effects

  • Colour flower highlight in Black and White or Sepia frame
  • Bridesmaids' dresses colour accent (rest of picture BW/Sepia)
  • Vignetting (a blur effect with one focal point) around the bride and groom
  • Gallery close-up at the reception (blurring all but the row of interest)
  • Colour leaking - special effect which blurs the outline of the bride/groom into the background but keeps faces in focus
  • Special effect backgrounds - flowers, all black (or Disneyland if you prefer!)
  • Added confetti effect in foreground
  • Photo collages - Coming down the aisle, vows, bridal waltz, cake cutting, etc
  • Photo combinations - the best shot of you, perhaps with your horse and carriage added in the background

You're only limited by your imagination. Colour and blur effects are the easiest and quickest, while combination and collage effects take time and a lot more skill. Photo retouching can take an hour per shot, and if it's for an enlargement, attention to detail is crucial. For this reason, photo retouching is the most expensive service.

We can also use your favourite shot as a watermark on your thank-you cards!

Our photographers are in high demand in peak seasons (August - November, February - April) so it is vital to book early!

Pictures appear on our website in your own gallery in a watermarked, reduced resolution format for three months after your wedding (or longer if you ask).

We accept orders for extra prints from friends and relatives at the same rates offered by your package. Postage or courier delivery are optional and we will dispatch orders within 5 working days of receipt of payment.

If you have any special requests or particular ideas, please be sure to tell your photographer!

Tip: think about alternative shoot locations in the event of adverse weather conditions and let the photographer know in advance.
